Some of the most pristine and
secluded places on Earth are in
Australia, and its sparkling
night sky makes looking up
virtually impossible. Even
familiar constellations such as
Orion take on a totally
different appearance Down Under.
From the Northern Hemisphere,
the great hunter appears massive
and invincible. From the
Southern Hemisphere, however,
his vulnerability is exposed as
he stands upside down over the
desolate sands of
southeastern Australia. |
